Seemingly Useless Games for your iPhone

Having World Cup withdrawal syndrome? Haha, same here. To get through the long day, try some seemingly useless games on the Apple iPhone to pass away the time (at least till the next DiscoveryWeek, hehe). We swear, there’s nothing like relaxing after a long day with an iPhone or iPod touch full of useless no brainer games. (They’re actually quite therapeutic—not to mention, highly addictive.)

Today we review our top 3 free favourites:

iDragPaper

Whoever knew such a simple game could result in so much fun? All you have to do (and can do) is drag a whole roll of toilet paper off its holder while a timer counts above you. The objective: to get this done the fastest. A whole lot of fun when challenging a bunch of over competitive friends. We promise you, it’s not as simple as it looks!

Angry Birds

Angry Birds is a spunky and challenging game with a cute plot. Green pigs have stolen the birds’ eggs and now the birds take revenge by hurling themselves at the pigs’ castles. You, of course, are the one doing the hurling. Controls are simple. Use the slingshot, pull, and release to fling. Although the game may seem fairly simple at the beginning, the later levels prove to be a real test of one’s physics and strategy skills. This one really kept us busy.

Fish Food Frenzy

Feel the rush of being part of a food chain as if your life depends on it! You play Sammy, a tiny fish in a big pond full of other aquatic life bigger than you. Tilt to navigate your way through as you chomp up food and while avoiding becoming food. It’s a little tricky, but that’s where all the fun is. As you progress in the game and gain in size, your used-to-be predators now become prey! Talk about revenge!
