DW8 Contest: Tell us why you love a Mac and win an iPod nano!

Hello folks! We’ll be having another round of our iPhoto contest, but this time, we’ll be making it even more exciting. It’s really simple. All you have to do is visit the iPhoto booth at DiscoveryWeek8 in Mid Valley tell us why you love a Mac and you stand a chance to win an iPod nano!

Here’s how you enter:

Step 1: Write your best reason why you love a Mac on the board.

Step 2: Take a photo as creatively, fun and crazy as possible.

Step 3: Go to facebook.com/discoveryweek and tag yourself.

* Do not tag anyone who is not in the photo! (if you’d like your friends to vote for you, use the “Share” function.) Please note that photos will be uploaded within 12 hours of the photo being taken.

Step 4: We will select the best entries daily to go into the public voting stage. The finalists will be announced on 26 July 2010 on facebook.com/discoveryweek.

Step 5: Get as many of your friends to vote for you by “Liking your Photo”. Yes, make good use of those 1000+ friends.

How do you win?

1. First, we will select the best daily entries. Best entries will be determined by the following criteria.
• Creativity
• Relevance to topic
• Happiness and Joy

2. Once the best daily entries are selected, they will be entered into the public voting stage. This will be announced on 26 July 2010. Voting will close on 31 July 2010. Votes posted after this date will no longer be counted. Voting count is based on the following:
• The number of “Likes” from verifiable Facebook accounts.
• No fake accounts or votes from accounts created specifically for voting.
• Votes from any accounts with less than 50 friends will be counted only at the discretion of the organizers
• Votes from accounts with restricted profiles will be counted only at the discretion of the organizers.

3. Sit back and wait for the final results!

Please be sporting. Do this fairly. Nobody likes a party pooper. Especially us. >.< No fake accounts or votes from accounts created specifically for voting. Entries with a high number of votes from fake or questionable accounts may be disqualified without prior notice. 

Terms and conditions
(The real serious legal stuff. We mean it. This is really serious.)
1. Open only to Malaysian citizens and permanent residents, 12 years and above.
2. Staff of DW8, Machines, Apple and their related partners and agencies will not b allowed to participate in the competition.
3. Top entries shall be determined by a panel of judges based on creativity and relevance to the topic.
4. Only 1 prize shall be given for each entry.
5. Entries of an obscene nature shall be disqualified.
6. The organisers will be allowed to use the photos in connection but not limited to Discoveryweek for the purposes of winners announcement, promotion of the contest and general news and promotions.
7. Participants can only have 1 entry in the competition.
8. Each participant can only be selected as the top entry for one day.
9. Prizes are provided as-is, and must be collected within 2 months of winners announcement. Should the prize become unavailable due to any reason, the organizer reserves the right to replace the prize with another of equivalent value.
10. Contest is valid only at DiscoveryWeek 8 at Mid Valley City Megamall.
11. Participants shall not attempt to bribe the panel of judges.
12. The organizers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice should the situation warrant it.
